Het Blaauw Laaken Kunstkabinet staat dit jaar met een tentoonstelling stil bij de 100ste geboortedag van kunstschilder Kees Bol (1916 – 2009). Het betreft een zorgvuldig samengesteld overzicht van landschappen, stillevens en portretten die voor zichzelf spreken, waaruit blijkt dat hij een uniek kunstenaar was. Wars van alle modes bleef Kees Bol trouw aan zijn schilderkunst waarin expressie, kleur en verbeelding centraal stonden.
